Marketplace rules

These standards explain how StorBids currently handles public listings, buyer qualification, costs, pickup, and marketplace safety during the controlled beta.

Verified facilities publish ready auctions

Approved facility managers publish auctions after completing listing, media, and privacy checks. A facility may withdraw a listing when legally required or when the unit is no longer available.

Visible contents are not guaranteed

Descriptions and tags are limited to items visible in listing photos or video. Hidden, unseen, or partially visible contents are never guaranteed.

Qualified buyers place bids

A buyer must use a buyer account, verify their email, keep an authorized card on file, and accept the auction terms before bidding.

Costs appear before confirmation

The listing and bidding panel identify the auction currency, buyer premium, tax, cleaning deposit, and estimated total. StorBids charges only the buyer premium; every other amount is paid in person at the facility.

Pickup is by appointment

Winning buyers must complete the required premium payment before pickup instructions and appointment steps become available. Pickup deadlines and facility instructions still apply.

Prohibited and sensitive items are controlled

Restricted or sensitive visible categories may be withheld from promotion or referred for review. A listing can be paused or withdrawn when safety, privacy, or legal concerns require it.

Facility responsibility and legal requirements

Facilities remain responsible for applicable lien laws, sale notices, redemption requirements, deposits, taxes, and internal policies. StorBids does not provide legal advice.
